1 What is a coup? Name the different people who staged 

 tried a coup in Spain? A person of a grupo of people  takes control of the goverment using military force.

2 What happened after the general elections of 1931?

                     Republicans perties won the elections, and the Spanish second republic started. Alfonso                         XII went to exile.

3 Which changes were established in the constitution of 1931?

                .        - The right to vote for women

                - Separation of church and state

                - Creation of autonomous regions 

4 When and why did the Spanish Civil War break out?

                              It broke out in 1936, because led a coup against the                         republican goverment. 

5 Name the two sides of the war and who formed them.

                            The nationalist that support Franco, and the Republicans                     that defend the Republic. 

7 Which changes took place in Spain during Franco’s 

dictatorship?

 - Constitution was abolish

- General Franco had all the power

- Polital parties and labou unions were banned

- Status of autonomy were revoked

- Censorship was established

8 Explain the consequences of the war.

       Spain became internationally isoled and this cause econimic crisis and the population were very poor.

9 What happened to Republicans after the war?

 There was a hard repression, many peple was killed or arrested, other went to exile.

10 Which changes took place along the 60s and 70s?

      Big factories were built in the main cities.

     People moved from the villages to the cities.  

    Many tourist began to come to Spain.

 

11 When and why did the dictatorship end?

    Dictatorship ends in 1975 when Franco died. 

12 When was the current constitution signed?

         The constitution was singned in 1978. It stablishes Spain as a democratic country with a parlamentary monarchy.

13 Which changes did this constitution include?

            - Guarantees citizens rights

            - Grants the right to vote to all citizens over 18 years.

            - Recongnizes autonomous communities and cities.

14 When did Juan Carlos I abdicate? Who became the next king?

                     - He abdicates in 2014, the next king is Felipe VI
